Women's Economic Contributions

A Balancing Act - blocks
A Balancing Act. From UNPAC's Symposium on 'Counting Women's Work' held May 1, 2000 in Brandon.
How do you spend your time?

Sometimes it's helpful to think about our contributions to the economy in terms of how we spend our time. The format of this chart recognizes the fact that many women do several things at the same time. When you have filled out this chart (either by memory or as you go through the day) circle all the activities that you consider to be economic contributions. Then put a box around the contributions that are recognized as contributions, in other words, contributions that you got paid for. How much overlap is there?

If you want to show us your chart, please send it to stories@unpac.ca.
